Super Mario 64 2 was planned to be a 1999 sequel to the 1996 Nintendo 64 video game Super Mario 64, but cancelled, due to the commercial failure of Nintendo 64DD. Luigi was set to appear in it and be playable, but unknown if Yoshi, Wario, or Waluigi hack. Instead in 2004 a Nintendo DS remake, Super Mario 64 DS came out and Mario, Luigi and Wario were unlockable characters, with Yoshi being the first playable charcter. There was also rumors about Waluigi appearing in it. The game also feature a Rec. Room mini games and a wireless multiplayer VS. Mode, where up to four players can compete in 4 maps to earn the most stars and coins, with there being 3 different Yoshi colors, Red, Blue, and Yellow.
